Guidelines to Reaching Race Weight
1. If you are losing weight and family asks if you have been sick, you are within 10 pounds.
2. Eating after 7pm is only allowed if it is a post workout recovery meal. And by meal I mean:
1 GU and 1 fruit
or 1 energy bar
3. Ensure you are consuming adequate calories throughout the day.
4. Except you can only eat between 7am and 7pm.
5. If your friends are whispering to each other, wondering if you have aids or cancer, you are only 5 pounds away.
6. Sometimes all you need is a good stomach flu to get rid of the last stubborn 3 pounds.
7. Eat within 30 minutes of a workout.
8. Dinner is all you can eat, as long as it fits on a coffee saucer the first time, no refills.
9. Hungry at night, have some water and HTFU.
10. When your friends and family actually do an intervention, you are at race weight.

The different strides totally make sense. It sure does distribute the energy more evenly with a front strike than a heel strike.
