A month or two ago PowerSox was giving away 30,000 pairs of their CoolMax Lo-Cut Liner, and I jumped on the offer.
Honestly I have never been a fan of socks. I run in Vibram Fivefingers sockless, and often go sockless in my other running shoes. The only two pairs of socks I actually have ever liked are my pair of Injinji socks, and my Under Armor compression socks. Otherwise my other pairs are whatever brand from Walmart.

These arrived and the first thing I noticed is how there are different patterns along the sock. The top is vented to allow heat to escape while it hugs the heel and arch in just the right place and pressure to feel very comfortable. Another great feature is the seamless toe. So no more getting stray threads between my toes!
Looking at price. The pair of Injinji socks I have go for $12.00 a pair I believe. The free pair of PowerSox that I pictured above and am wearing are $9.99 for three pairs. Price wise, they are a great sock.
If any runner is in need of new day to day running socks, these are a great option. However, for longer runs I still wear the Injinji pairs I have.
